In the northeast, near the Cameroon border, a 60 man police unit searching for Islamic rebels, was ambushed by members of the radical Al Sunna wal Jamma group. These radicals had fought with the police last month, and fled towards Cameroon. Today's attack saw several policemen being wounded, and some taken prisoner by the rebels.
