The Rwandan Army now estimates it has killed 1,036 Interahamwe Hutu militiamen since the middle of May. 431 have been taken prisoner. Another 117 have surrendered. Among the Interahamwe dead is Lieutenant Colonel Evarist Bazirambwabo (nom de gueree Colonel Aristide) who commanded the militias Limpopo Brigade.
