The United Nations is investigating how it came into possession of a flight recorder alleged in a press report to have been from the aircraft carrying the Presidents of Rwanda and Burundi that was shot down in 1994. Arrangements were being made to transport a "black box" which originated in Rwanda to the United States National Transportation Safety Board for analysis in the presence of an official from the United Nations civil aviation agency. Ten years after he was killed, the crash and their deaths remains a mystery - more so because the plane was brought down in an area controlled by government and Belgium troops. But a week after being found, the flight recorder was examined by experts and it appears that the flight recorder was not from the 1994 Rwanda aircraft.- Adam Geibel
