An LTTE suicide bomber detonated her bomb outside the prime ministers office, while being questioned by a policeman. The bomber, and ten others died, over two dozen were injured. Two hours later, a Tamil politician sympathetic to the government was assassinated. There have been at least fourteen of these suicide bombings since 1987.
