LTTE shelling of Jaffna peninsula towns hit a home for aged, killing fifteen and injuring 33. LTTE infantry attacked several towns in Jaffna, and the government admitted to losing eight soldiers and 47 wounded overnight. LTTE troops are within fifteen kilometers of Jaffna city. LTTE artillery is making airfields in Jaffna unusable.
