Angolan government troops (now often called in press reports Angolan Armed Forces (FAA)) said that they had killed over 400 UNITA rebels in combat operations along the Namibian border. An Angolan government spokesman also said that 100 tons of UNITA arms had been discovered near the town of Andulo in central Angola. Interestingly, the spokesman claimed the weapons dump held some chemical weapons.
