Angola government soldiers captured a UNITA arms dump in Malanje province. The United Nations reported that in the last month another 7,000 Angolans fled to Namibia, most of them into the Sijembela area. Many of the refugees say they fled the fighting between the Angolan army and UNITA. Some of the refugees, however, may well be UNITA supporters. According to UNHCR reports, at least 20,000 Angolan refugees have entered Zambia since October 1999. The Angolan government offensive against UNITA began in September 1999.
