Tajikistan arrested 12 members of the IMU (Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan), an organization recognized as terrorists by  Uzbekistan and the US. IMU members were captured in Afghanistan during fighting with the Taliban in 2001. The US believes that most active IMU members were killed or captured in the Afghan fighting. The IMU members arrested in Tajikistan were handed over to  Uzbekistan today.
