China: January 2, 2003


 The US government is prosecuting two companies, Boeing and Hughes, for passing satellite launching technical secrets to China. At the same time, Israel has been pressured to stop exporting military technology to China.  Chinese satellite launching has become a lot more reliable because of the technology obtained from Boeing and Hughes, and China plans to launch it's first manned space mission this year, after four successful unmanned tests.
