AUC militiamen killed 24 civilians in the north in the last two days. The AUC commits some 70 percent of the atrocities against civilians. The AUC is using terror against civilians to counter support for leftist rebels. This is class warfare, as the bulk of the population is poor and give at least lip service support to the leftist rebels. The AUC is supported by the middle and upper classes.
