The ELN declared a three day strike in the northeast oil producing area. Any civilian who did not take part, declared the ELN, faced retribution. Northeast of the capital, a car bomb killed two. The ELN was suspected. FARC ambushed a military convoy 250 kilometers southeast of the capital. Seven soldiers, ten rebels and a civilian were killed.
