  The US has revoked the visa of senior Colombian officer, accusing Admiral Rodrigo Quinonez of being involved in the drug trade. Such suspicions are common, it being noted that several senior officers have a lot of unexplained wealth.

Two beach front hotels on the Caribbean were bombed, killing two and wounding ten. FARC was known to be trying to extort money from one of the hotels, this being a common method for raising money to keep their revolution going.
