In a demonstration of naval power, Pakistan conducted test launches of two Exocet missiles in March. A Breguet-1 Atlantique maritime patrol plane launched an AM39 (air-launched) version of the Exocet. The Agosta-90B-class submarine PNS Khalid fired an SM39 Exocet, the first time this submarine has fired an Exocet since it was commissioned in September 99.--Stephen V Cole
