In Kashmir, troops clashed with rebels, leaving, ten rebels and two civilians and three soldiers dead. On the Bangladesh border, Indian border guard fired into the air to drive back Bangladeshi civilians trying to sneak into India. Later a meeting was held with Bangladeshi border guards to try and get the illegal border crossings stopped on the Bangladesh side.
