In Kashmir, rebel activity left eight rebels, five soldiers and two civilians dead. In Pakistani Baluchistan, local tribesmen are battling police over possession of the wreckage of a US KC-130 tanker aircraft that crashed in the area on January 9th. Locals have been picking apart the wreckage for salable items, including scrap metal. Pakistani police. The police insist the wreckage belongs to the United States, the villagers say finders-keepers.
