Two crude bombs went off in Bombay, India, wounding 27 (several of them seriously). Islamic radicals are suspected, as groups of them have been caught in the area recently.

 In Kashmir, two Moslems, suspected of working for the government, were killed by rebels.

Indian and Pakistani artillery exchanged fire along the Line of Control, with Pakistan claiming to have killed five Indian soldiers while destroying three Indian bunkers

Two tribes in central Pakistan (Baluchistan) are fighting each other, and the government, over how much the tribes will be paid for allowing a gas pipeline to operate in tribal territory. The two tribes have been firing rockets and artillery at each other for at least two weeks. For three times in the last week, the gas pipeline has been cut by the fighting. The pipeline is a major source of energy for northeastern provinces.
