   Rebel violence in Kashmir left three dead. Police arrested five rebels while Indian and Pakistani artillery exchanged fire along the Line of Control

In India's northeast, violence between tribal separatist organizations left at least 28 dead. Several thousand people have fled their homes to avoid the killings.

In western Pakistan, tribal violence left 13 people dead. Police reinforcements were sent in to try and halt the fighting, which stems from an old feud.
