In Pakistan's North West Frontier Province, controlled by Islamic conservatives since the recent elections, the government is setting up religious police similar to that used by the Taliban (and Saudi Arabia and Iran) to enforce modesty and "offenses against Islam." The central government opposes this, because most of the population elsewhere does.
