Kashmiri rebels continue to react violently to the death of one of  their leaders,  Gazi Baba, on August 30th. Since then, the daily death rate has gone up to nearly a dozen a day (nearly twice normal). But much of the violence still has to do with rebels attacking non-Moslems, and Moslems considered hostile to the rebel cause.
