Artillery fire along the Line of Control has increased, indicating increased attempts by rebels to sneak across the border into Indian Kashmir. The Pakistani shelling forces the Indian border troops to stay in their bunkers  So far this year, the Indians have lost some 38 civilians and 27 troops, with some 130 civilians and 37 troops wounded. In addition 127 houses have been damaged. 

Pakistan test fired a SCUD type missile, the Hatf III. The missile has a range of 290 kilometers and carries a half ton warhead (which can be nuclear.)
