Violence has declined in Kashmir, but has not disappeared. Several people are still dying each day because of rebel related violence. 

In Pakistan, two nuclear scientists with Islamic radical attitudes, were arrested, or at least detained, by the police, questioned and released. It has long been charged that several of the Pakistani scientists who worked on the national nuclear weapons program have shared information with Iran and North Korea. There has never been any conclusive proof of this, and the charges could just be disinformation or paranoia.
