Fifty kilometers west of Lahore, Pakistan, villagers burned down a police station because the cops would not arrest a drug addict the villagers accused of desecrating the Koran. Media in Moslem countries has jumped all over the Koran desecration issue, mainly because of charges that American soldiers had done it while guarding Islamic terrorists. Being "more Islamic than thou" has become a major political and media issue in Pakistan.
