In the Malukus, armed Moslems raided two Christian villages and killed 13 civilians. Some of the attackers were wearing army uniforms. The Maluku Christians have long claimed that Moslem soldiers have joined with Moslem radicals to attacks Christians. Because of this, a movement to establish an independent Christian nation in part of the Malukus has become more popular among Maluku Christians.
