In Aceh, rebel and military commanders blamed each other for a group of armed civilians that destroyed a dozen vehicles, killed two people and terrorized many more. The army is thought to be using soldiers pretending to be rebels to restart the war in Aceh. The army has done this sort of thing before. In another incident, rebels ambushed police and wounded three policemen.
