: The first foreign casualties from Indonesia's Aceh offensive were two Germans traveling on tourist visas: a 54 year old man was killed and 49 year old woman wounded. A villager had alerted nearby troops about suspicious activity behind his house and nine soldiers saw a flashlight. They challenged, got no response and fired three warning shots. - Adam Geibel
