May 24, 2006: In East Timor, fighting continued around the capital, as police and soldiers looked for mutinous soldiers who had been ambushing troops. It's feared that the mutinous soldiers are also going after the homes of senior army commanders. All this is largely personal, with the mutinous soldiers upset at what some army officers have previously said or done.

May 23, 2006: In East Timor, mutinous soldiers ambushed loyal soldiers in the hills outside the capital. At least two people were killed, and several wounded.
