Saddam Hussein and his sons are apparently still alive and may be hiding in the Tikrit area (where there are still a lot of Saddam supporters.) However, US investigators are developing ever wider networks of informers and expect to eventually round up most of the senior officials of the previous government, including Saddam and his sons.
