An advance party of Ukrainian soldiers have arrived in Iraq, with 1800 to follow. Some 30,000 foreign troops are headed for Iraq to relieve American troops.
American troops raided the headquarters of SAIRI (Supreme Assembly of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq), a Shia group long supported by Iran. SAIRI wants Iraq to be an Islamic republic like Iran.
