Iraq: November 5, 2003


  The US plans to cut its troop strength in Iraq 27,000 by next Spring, to 107,000 troops. By next May, 66,000 active duty and 37,000 reserve troops will be serving in Iraq. compared to 102,000 Army and 28,000 reservists 
now. The marines will also send 42,000 troops back to Iraq next year.
