Israel has increased its military simulation budget from $30 million to $70 million to make up for smaller overall defense budgets. Prime Minister Barak rejected the military's demand for another $375 million, but agreed to hold the reduction in the military budget to $200 million instead of the $250 million recommended by the Finance Ministry.--Stephen V Cole
