There are increasing indications that, once the Israelis pull out of Gaza, terrorist attacks on Israel will resume. Arms smuggling from Egypt, into Gaza, has been on the increase. The Palestinian Authority has been asked to try and stop it, but has not done much. More weapons are getting through, even though more are being caught. On the positive side, Hamas, the largest Palestinian terrorist group, is no longer gaining popularity. The latest opinion survey shows 41 percent support for Fatah (the ruling party), 23 percent for Hamas, and 30 percent undecided. While most Palestinians still support the destruction of Israel, they are voting with their economic interests and supporting an end to the terror campaign
