North Korean leader Kim Jong Il has gone to China for a week long visit. The Chinese are still trying to convince Kim that he can rev up his economy and still keep the communists in power. However, the Chinese model may not apply to North Korea. South Korea provided a more dangerous capitalist model for North Korea than did Hong Kong and Taiwan for China. But Kim has few choices at this point. It's either the Chinese model (which, at least, the Chinese can provide experienced advisors for), or collapse and revolution.
