In the south, an army vehicle hit a rebel landmine, wounding two soldiers. This happened when an army patrol came upon an MILF camp, which triggered a firefight. This was the worst such incident after a month of ceasefire. On Jolo and Basilan, three Abu Sayyaf members were captured and four others surrendered.
