The government has obtained a designation (by the US) of the Philippines Communist Party (CPP) as a terrorist organization. The CPP uses fund raisers in Europe and other parts of the world to raise money for NPA rebels. Now the government can move to block money transfers to the NPA and try and extradite NPA leaders living in European countries.
