The government has banned US Special Forces from joining Filipino troops on combat patrols against Abu Sayyaf forces on Jolo later this year. US troops were allowed to participate last year, but this year someone in the Pentagon said out loud that this would happen again and touchy Filipino politicians made a stink about "foreign troops" fighting on Filipino soil.
