The government continues to round up those involved in last months attempted coup. Filipino politics is dominated by a few dozen very wealthy, and mostly ancient, families. The coup leaders were from some of these families, and felt that national affairs were not being conducted to their satisfaction. Some of the plotters are elected officials, and some of those are still hiding out. Most of the senior plotters will get a slap on the wrist, many will get pardons. And life will go on.
