The waters between the islands of the Philippines and Indonesia have been relatively unguarded and Islamic radicals have been using small boats to move men and weapons back and forth. The Filipino armed forces are installing radar on some of the islands that can track these small wooden boats and increase the chances of catching criminals and terrorists using these waters to get caught.
