The government revealed that, according to documents captured from the MILF last year, the MILF bought 10,000 rifles from North Korea in 1999 and 2000. The $2.2 million price was raised through drug dealing and a $50,000 a month subsidy received from al Qaeda (through the end of 2003.) The deal was set up via negotiations with a North Korean in Malaysia. The MILF denies it all.
