Heres an interesting follow-up on the mercenary band stopped in Tanzania on its way to Madagascar. Kenyan sources say 15 mercenaries were involved, 14 men and one woman. Their plane intended to fly to the Madagascan town of Toamasina, which was controlled by pro-Ratsiraka forces. The alleged leader of the mercenary group is Marc Garibaldi. While waiting to be shipped back to France, the mercs were put up in the Royal Palm Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The same sources say the Falcon 900 jet the mercs were on is the same private jet that was hired by the government o France to fly Ratsiraka to a meeting in Dakar, Senegal, on June 8.
