Russia is selling the United Arab Emirates a half billion dollar anti-aircraft system. Russia expects to sell $4.5 billion in arms this year, and $5.5 billion next year. Chechen rebels announced that they had lost 1,380 dead and 1,600 wounded since September, 1999. They claim to have killed 18,000 Russians (eight times what the Russians admit to) and wounded 45,000.
