Russia: July 9, 2000


A bomb went off in the Caucasus province of North Ossetia, killing five and wounding 17. Another bomb went off in the southern Russian city of Rostov on Don, killing one and injuring three. Chechen rebels are suspected, as the rebels have threatened to take their fight to Russian territory.
