The FSB (successor to the KGB) reported that they had uncovered a network of militant Islamic groups ("Moslem Brotherhood") through Russia and former Central Asian republics of the Soviet Union. Raids so far have discovered propaganda materials calling for the overthrow of democracies and the establishment of Islamic republics.
