Russia will station troops in 200 of Chechnya's 375 towns and villages. Each garrison will have a reconnaissance unit responsible for keeping track of rebel activity in their area. Meanwhile, in the south Russian town of Pyatigorsk, two car bombs went off, leaving four dead and dozens more wounded. Chechens are thought responsible, as the rebels had pledged to carry their fight into Russia.
