The War on Terror has flushed out the Victor Bout gun running organization. Bout, a former Russian air force officer, used leased and purchased Russian air transports to deliver weapons anywhere, to anyone during the 1990s. But for the last few years, Britain's MI6 has been after him. Bout's operations is usually based in the Persian Gulf, but was known to move quickly from one part of the world all another. Bout is still on the loose, and dangerous. He was a major supplier for the Taliban and al Qaeda.
