In Chechnya, the rebels continue to target pro-Russian Chechens. So far this year, rebels have killed 41, wounded 16 and kidnapped seven Chechens in an attempt to destroy pro-Russian sentiment among Chechens. Meanwhile, five Chechen children have been found shot dead in the last few days. There are reports that the children have been shot by soldiers because Chechen children often throw stones at Russian soldiers.
