The Russian arms industry is making a major effort to sell high end weapons systems on the world market. These systems include  Sukhoi's Su-27SK and Su-30MK multifunctional fighter planes, Su-32 fighter-bomber, Su-39 ground attack aircraft and Su-33 aircraft carrier fighter. Russian military helicopters have long been popular export items, and Kamov is offering several unique designs, including the Ka-31 radar picket helicopter, a new Ka-50  helicopter gunship, the Ka-60 high-speed transport helicopter and a lightweight Ka-226 helicopter. Also available is the  new Mi-28N Night Hunter helicopter gunship. The Sukhoi company had sales of $1.5 billion last year, and expects the same level of sales this year.
