Russians are greatly concerned with the threat of Chechen terrorist bombings and attacks. There have been several spectacular ones in the past few years. As a result, Russia has created new techniques and technologies for detecting terrorist bombs. These techniques and technologies have been examined by American counter-terrorism organizations, and some have been adopted. Russia is particularly keen on licensing some of the bomb detection technologies.
