In Dagestan, next to Chechnya, police cornered and fought a group of five Islamic terrorists. Two were killed and three captured. Also taken were many weapons, and Islamic radical and pro-nazi literature. This group, led by Rasul Makasharipov (who was killed), was responsible for many attacks on government officials.
