The anarchic situation in Darfur makes it difficult to get reporters into the region. Based on what appear to be reports from refugees, Sudanese government forces attacked several villages in the Darfur region and killed at least 70 civilians. The attacks began on February 27. Tarne is one of the villages the government forces attacked.
