More authoritarian politics in Uganda. The Ugandan government now has charged two aides of former presidential candidate Kizza Besigye with treason. The two aides (and two other alleged accomplices) are charged with plotting a coup. (Regular StrategyPage readers will recognize Besigye as Ugandan President Yoweri Musevenis chief rival.) The four men are now under arrest.
